Tennis Swing Analysis: Video Analysis Of Your Strokes!

Nowadays we can do tennis swing analysis over the Internet. Good cameras, even with high speed functionality are available for very reasonable prices and even the Iphone can make videos with decent quality these days!

Video analysis is the best way to improve your tennis swing!

Have a look at this sample stroke analysis

With my tennis stroke analysis videos you get to see what you are doing wrong and you also see how you should be doing it.

Basically you get step-by-step visual instructions
on how to improve your technique!

Price

I charge $65 per stroke which is roughly the cost of one private lesson in the United States. My guarantee to you is that the $65 is much better invested than in a regular lesson at your club.

If in any case you feel like you are not improving enough with that video lesson please email me and if I still can’t help you improve then I will give you your money back!

The cost to get all six major strokes analyzed is $300. For that price I will analyze in detail your Forehand, Backhand, Slice, Volleys, and the Serve!

Analyzing A Tennis Swing

When doing this kind of an analysis I look for functionality in your tennis stroke. The goal is not to make your stroke perfect and completely change everything.

Instead I will look at why you are missing which shots, where you are missing them (net, long, or wide) and then I will look at the key body positions that are causing these problems.

Over the years I have found that this is the most effective way for recreational players to work on their strokes and stay motivated in the process!

The Regular Tennis Lesson

It is very rare that coaches will actually use video analysis in regular lessons. Instead most often they will throw their favourite Tennis Tips at you in the hope that they will work for everyone.

How many tennis lessons have you taken in your life ?

And how often did you actually walk away from the lesson with the feeling that you made a significant improvement to your game ? Significant improvements are measurable and the great thing is that these days they can be easily documented with video!

Unfortunately most regular tennis lessons are ineffective and expensive for you. Depending on where you live, a tennis lesson from a good instructor will cost you between $70 and $150 in the United States.

How many lessons have you taken to improve your backhand
and how much progress have you actually made ?

I am certain that with my online stroke analysis I can get you started on the right track to improving your strokes. Having great strokes is all about developing the key body positions and I will show exactly which key body positions you need to work on with your individualized video!

Recording Your Strokes

Tripod

I recommend that you use a tripod. They are inexpensive and will provide me with a much better video to analyze. If you have someone film you with a very still hand though then the analysis can of course be done without the use of a tripod as well.

Camera

Ideally you want to have a camera with a high speed or sports mode. Many cameras these days have those. An affordable camera that I can recommend is the Casio EX-FH100!

Grip

When you begin filming yourself, I recommend that you zoom in on your grip once very closely for every stroke. It is important for me to know exactly which grip you have!

Angle

The main angle that I recommend for your tennis swing analysis is the 45 degree front angle that you can see in the sample video analysis. I can analyze all your tennis swings from this angle.

If you want you can also provide me with more angles like the side or back angle. Oftentimes the back angle is also good to use!
