Tennis Records

Most Tennis fans love to discuss Tennis Records. Records are fascinating and breaking them certainly gives a lot of motivation to most professional tennis players. With Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal there currently are two active players that have already broken a lot of tennis records and are capable of breaking a lot more.

Men’s Records

Grand Slam Singles Titles

Here is a list of the Top 10 Grand Slam Singles Title holders in the men’s game. This is an all-time list and therefore includes players like Roy Emerson and Rod Laver that played before the beginning of the Open Era of Tennis in 1968. This is of course one of the most discussed records in Tennis.

With Federer and Nadal there are two players on the list that are still active. Since Nadal is five years younger than Federer, he most likely has more time to continue winning Grand Slam titles.

Grand Slam Doubles Titles

Below is the Top10 list for doubles teams that have won Grand Slam Titles together. Bob and Mike Bryan are still active and are actually only 2 Grand Slam titles away from tying the record of 12 Grand Slam Doubles titles. That tennis record is currently held by Tony Roche and John Newcombe. The Bryan brothers should have a good chance at breaking this record in my opinion!

ATP Singles Titles

The Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) was formed in 1972. Winning the most ATP singles titles is one of the most prestigious tennis records as well. Jimmy Connors has put up a strong mark with 109 career singles titles.

Below is a list of the ten players that have won the most singles titles on the ATP Tour since its inception. From this list only Roger Federer is still active and can compete to break this tennis record.

Winning Streaks – Men

Below you find the ten players with the longest winning streaks since the inception of the ATP Tour. Winning this many matches in a row to me is one of the most impressive records that you could possibly have! Roger Federer and Björn Borg both have two winning streaks in different years on the list.

As I am writing this Novak Djokovic is currently on an unbelievable winning streak with 34 wins in a row. It will be very interesting to see how far he can take this current winning streak!

Most Aces In A Season – Men

Below you see the Top5 list for players that have served the most aces in a single season on the ATP Tour. The serve is the most important shot in Tennis. As you can see this list includes only Goran Ivanisevic, Ivo Karlovic, and John Isner. No other player has dominated with his serve like Goran did in his prime.

Women’s Records

Grand Slam Singles Titles

This is an all-time list for the women Grand Slam singles titles. Margaret Court probably holds one of those records that might never get broken. The game is more competitive these days and winning 24 Grand Slam Singles titles in a career seems unlikely. But of course you never know!

Only Serena Williams is still active and could therefore continue to improve on this list.

Grand Slam Doubles Titles

This is the women’s Top10 list for most Grand Slam Doubles Titles won as a team. It is an all-time list.

One interesting thing to note is that Martina Navratilova is at the top of this list and also very close to the top of the Grand Slam singles titles list. What an accomplishment!

Serena and Venus Williams are the only doubles team still active on the list and have a theoretical chance to break this tennis record.

WTA Singles Titles

The WTA Tour was founded in 1973 and this is a list of the Top10 players in regards to WTA Singles Titles won. To me it seems like the 167 career singles titles by Martina Navratilova might be one of those records that will never be broken!

From this list only Venus Williams is still active and can therefore continue to improve.
